This is my online portfolio that I encourage you to browse through and explore!  My name is Marissa Gonzalez and I am a recent graduate of the University of Houston Education Program (EC-6).

I became a teacher because I love working with children and seeing their minds expand and grow.  Children are capable of so much more than we give them credit for and I feel it is my calling to guide these young minds on their journeys. Even when I was younger I always loved to help my peers and looked up to my teachers, this path was always where I wanted to go. From my student teaching experiences and classes I have learned that teaching takes hard work, patience, and creativity...all aspects I plan to use in my own classroom.
